NYFW Day 1 Recap: Three Looks One Day

Day 1 of NYFW, I didn't really know what to expect. My first official fashion week, and I couldn't hold my excitement in any longer. I had spent weeks putting together my outfits, and now it was finally  time to rock them!

I started the day at 7:30am with GLAMSQUAD. For more on my NYFW glam head here! Then I went straight to the Indonesian Diversity show. My childhood neighbor and very close friend Christopher Mccann cast the entire show, so I was even more excited to see it! The show encompassed four amazing Indonesian designers looks. The looks were very over the top and seemed costume inspired. It was the perfect way to start my NYFW journey! Oh, and the crowd wasn't so bad either. I really don't know what's better during Fashion Week, the shows/presentations or the people watching.

Around 12:00pm I did a quick change in the car into this Parisian inspired look, and headed to the Shopbop event. I have to say this was one of my absolute favorite events of the entire week! We got to play with puppies, and rest and rejuvenate before the second half of the day. I loved being able to meet other bloggers, and see all of Shopbop's hottest trends for fall! Shopbop has been a favorite retailer of mine for the past ten years, and I was so honored to be apart of their relaunch #MakeShopbopYours!!!

Next I headed to a special shoot with Cosmopolitan China, which I will show you in a different post... I don't want to spoil the surprise!!!! But, I will say it was so wonderful being able to work on trends with other countries. I have yet to travel for my blog, but I think this year will be the year of lots of adventures!

For my last change of the day I quickly got into this full Parker look! I loved the big sleeves, fall florals, and ruffled burgundy leather jacket to really get you in the fall spirit. Luckily the weather was pretty cool the entire week, so my looks didn't really seem that farfetched.

I headed to the Tadashi Shoj show at the Skylight center, and waited to see their whole collection. I was completely blown away, and quickly learned YELLOW IS THE COLOR FOR SPRING!!! I loved the whimsical vibes, and all the flowy fabric. I'm already excited for spring, and it's not even officially fall yet....

For my last and final stop of day one I headed to the ETRO presentation uptown! It was wonderful to end the day with a little Italian flare, and who knows maybe next season I'll fly to Milan for the show!

Stay tuned for my Day 2 recap!!
