A taste of where it all started...
I learned to sew at a very young age. I’d beg my mom for fabric and then make myself clothing, pillows, and teddy bears out of it. Later, at Quaker school, I rebelled against the dress code by adding my own fashionable flair to the uniform. I got in trouble, but it was worth it! Then, in college I decided to concentrate on costume design, which merged together my love for theater with my fashion instincts.
Add it all together, and HonestlyKate was a no-brainer. I can’t wait to share my outfits and my secrets with you, and hopefully inspire other girls to curate their futures.

HonestlyKate was created as a platform I could use to reflect my journey as a young woman navigating the ins and outs of New York City, trying to grow and inspire as many people as I could reach. I know so many people trying to pursue their dreams in the Big Apple — and let’s face it, we all want to look good whether we’re on the subway, at a job interview, or just out for the night with our closest friends, because you never know who you’ll run into. From the beginning, it’s been my goal to inspire girls to curate their own futures and let them in on my fashion and beauty secrets along the way. And what better place than New York to do it all?!
The "honestly" in my name definitely isn't a coincidence, because HonestlyKate is all about authenticity. I try to always stay true to who I am and what I value, no matter what kinds of obstacles show up along the way. Being honest includes featuring brands that I find meaning in, it's what my brand is all about. As an entrepreneur, I constantly remind myself of the core reasons of why I started to blog: my love for fashion and my passion for helping people be their truest selves. As long as you’re true to yourself and your ambitions, you will always be authentic.

I'm an actress, writer, and a devoted fashion enthusiast with a passion for all things interior design. I'm a total eBay addict, bargain shopper and I love to memorize the lyrics to every Broadway musical. I fully believe in mixing high-end designers with Forever 21. I'm a absolute product junkie, and I have an absurd amount of Drybar dry shampoo. If I were stranded on a deserted island, the one food I would bring is a buttercream filled Magnolia cupcake. If prompted, I can do a dead on Ja'mie King impression (HELLO, Summer Heights High!).
