I have some exciting news for you guys - I finally moved!! It’s hard to believe, but this is the first time I’ll be living alone in New York City and it feels like a huge step. I’m looking at this move as a new beginning – a new chapter in my life where I can make fresh memories and experience personal growth as I curate my future. It’s crazy to think that I’ve lived in New York my entire life but have never lived by myself. Even though there’s a lot less square feet to move around in, there’s a lot more room for self-love and focusing inward. And that’s what I’m most excited about!
It was such a bittersweet day as we moved everything (well almost everything… there are still a few small goodies I have to grab) out of the space that I lived in with two of my best friends. I have lived there for the past three years, and there are so many special memories within those walls: breakups and makeups, Halloween parties, when I almost cut my hand off trying to impress someone with my cooking skills (that’s a story for another time), etc. I will never forgot all those moments that played a role in shaping who I am today; they are memories I will cherish for my life. But there was something inside of me that knew it was time for something new, and I am confident I can thrive with this change.
Moving solo in the big apple is not an easy feat - especially when you’re only 5’3” and have a jam-packed schedule every day of the week. Luckily, with the help of Roadway Moving Company, I was able to pack up and move everything so seamlessly – it was a shock for me! I’ve NEVER had a better moving experience. Not only were they enthusiastic and genuinely happy movers, they packed everything in less than an hour. It was insane.
I had allocated the entire day to focus on moving, but everything was done by NOON! All of my belongings were packed and organized like I’ve never seen them before. They even helped me unbox most of my things as we unloaded everything into the new space. To be honest, I couldn’t have imagined my move without Roadway, they put all of my nerves to rest and helped me transition into my new apartment with ease.
I am overjoyed to start making this place my home. It will be a space where I can curate my own future and make new memories with family, friends, and all those who I cross paths with along my crazy journey! I can’t wait to share more of it with you as I begin to settle in and decorate – I already have some ideas and can’t wait to get started! Stay tuned for some exciting new pieces of art coming my way!
