For my last summer shoot, I wanted to shoot in the famous sunflower fields in Sagaponack! Growing up summering in Sagaponack it was always so unbelievable to get lost in the sunflowers fields. For as long as I can remember I would take my dogs to the fields and watch them run around, and get lost throughout the miles of large sunflowers. As the summer comes to a close its crazy and bittersweat to see as the sunflowers die and the pumpkins arrive all around town.
My parents bought our family farm house in Sagaponack 25 years ago, from the writer John Irving. Irving later wrote a book featuring the house called, “World According to Garp.” Growing up in John Irving’s house has inspired me to become fascinated with writing. Our house dubbed by family and friends as “The Sand Box” will always be home to my favorite memories. I can’t imagine a summer not spent bringing friends sitting around our fire pit making s’mores till 2am with friends!
The dress I am wearing in this look is the perfect dress for summering in Sagaponack. This is the third look I have featured from Michelle Farmer Collaborate and I have to say its one of my most versatile pieces in my closet! The Anna Dress can be worn with the tie in the front or in the back. Its perfect to dress up for a cocktail party or walk in the sunflower fields!
