The next three looks I will be posting are part of a TRILOGY shoot I did in collaboration with Carolyn Rowan Accessories. This was a dream shoot of mine. It was a treat to shoot with such a high-end brand, as I have so much admiration for the founder Carolyn Rowan.
Carolyn is a New York City based designer, who, having gone to FIT, and spent years in the fashion industry knows the meaning of elegance, flawless craftsmanship, and luxury. Carolyn worked for Judith Leiber for five years designing ancillary product. It was working for Leiber that she discovered her emotional reaction to sparkle. It was also where she cultivated the production team (furrier and embroider) that she still works with today.
Not only is New York the inspiration for the brand, her line is also produced in the city as well. Drawing on the New York lifestyle has allowed Rowan to create pieces for any occasion, in any city. The 2016 collection is the ultimate accessory as it effortlessly transitions from day to evening, uptown to downtown, fall to spring.
All of the beading for the furs and accessories is hand embroidered in India, and the cashmere is all from Italian yarn. Carolyn Rowan Accessories is the complete opposite of mass produced, Carolyn thinks about every detail. The brand has recently partnered with Swarovski as they use their crystals on the majority of all their pieces… How cool is that?!?
With the next three posts I am going to show how to style the brand’s fur and accessories with three uniquely different look in mind. In this first look I wanted to show how you can dress down the Lexington fur vest for going to dinner or a movie with friends! I paired this vest with an Amanda Uprichard oversized blouse, and an old pair of Rag & Bone jeans. I slipped on these amazing baby heels that I recently coveted at Zara, and I am completely obsessed with them!
The brand is currently sold at Neiman Marcus and other specialty stores. So be sure to check them out!
Can’t wait to show you the next two looks!
